Isn't there any Dennis Kirk stores in the metro? Go to one of them to try some on. The only one I know of is by Rush City, but that's a long ways from you

Well looking at my finances right now, I might have to buy someone to borrow a helmet lol. I didn't realize how much I sunk into the car last month...that and a new 400 dollar phone raped me, need to live on the cheap for a month.

Gonna try 30psi and 8500rpm now...see if 600whp happens...car is running superb as of now, so mind as well push it right? Thats what I built it for...haha. But I don't think I will run that map all the time, that will be racemode map.

We have been going super slow with it, very slowly bumping it up. I am not pushing it yet, it's not even 30psi yet, which is pretty normal for E85.

The car should continue to run well after another 2-3psi. I was revving it out to 8800 last fall, so I have dropped that down a lot for all the testing (8000) now just revving it out to where I want it.

I am not really trying to "push" it, just seeing what it takes to crack 600whp. The tuning, stepping up has occurred over weeks of logging/testing... if shit happens it happens. No sense in having this car built like this to not make power, if I am afraid to break it I mind as well sell it and buy something I am comfortable with. I am taking the necessary precautions.

Just for reference...the motor and head from the manufacturer are good to 10,000 rpms and like 800whp+...so its overbuilt. Like I said, if it fails, it fails and part of the mod game.

Are you going to rev it till the power starts to drop? Or are you going to play it safe and just rev it to 8000rpm?

Power didn't really tip over before at 8800rpms. But I am going to just run 8500. I will rev it out a bit more at the track if I ever need to in order to stay in 4th but one step at a time. I think 8500 is pretty safe for my setup.

Running a bit lean now...adding fuels up top some. Was really hot out today, killed my chance at bigger power, but the car seems very consistent.

If the car is running good, I would just stop and enjoy it for the rest of the summer. It's about to be July, enjoy that bish while it's nice out!

So now maybe I'll start seeing this car around Blaine? Funny we live in the same city and I've never seen your car.

I've put over 3000 miles on the car this year already...I have been driving it a lot, surprised you haven't seen it yet.

Something...strange happened yesterday...not sure whats up, afraid to drive it again though to see if everything is alright. I think it was simply boost/load cut towards the top of 4th gear (125ish). The car "hit a wall", but it felt really weird and I tried to do another pull after and it felt like the car had no powahs. No CEL's or anything, car drove another 30 miles perfectly, so I think I am being paranoid. I am thinking it also could've been an IC pipe too. I'll check it out some soon and then get back to having fun! Or sell it now and buy a z06 or gtr (thinking about this more lately) :)

Sell it while its in good shape!

Probably a IC pipe, is my vote.

I'll be up in the cities prob Thursday night, and I have an HJC AR10 II helmet (rated SA2010), size L that you can borrow for a few weeks. Let me know if you want me to bring it up. I really like the helmet, it's nicer than my old M2005 one and cost $280 I believe. Also the guy who I bought it from gives you a discount of $50 if you sign up for one of his track days at BIR.

Edit: Just saw the one Kracka posted, that looks like a sweet deal if you want an open face helmet.

Thanks got the offer... However, I'm stuck in the hospital now, just got out of surgery actually. So I'm out of commission for some time yet
