Interesting weekend, had alot of fun, and some adventures too- some better than others.. haha

Im home safe and sound. That crash on 35W with the trailer was insane! I caught up to you guys right after that happened it seemed.

Yeah, the accident happened right in front of us, whoever was leading our pack had to have seen it. JET and Sheides stayed behind as they were on the phone and helping out, the rest of us kept going.

Wow, what happened and how much carnage?

We ended up taking 23 damn near all the way home as it lead us to the Mora, Cambridge, and then finally to a long backroad tour which broght us into Princeton. The Nav was nice for the trip back, we shave 30 min off the 35w route.

The drive up as very fun. Too bad we lost a car before the trip started. I hope that car stayed untouched over the weekend.

While up there, all in all things seems to work just fine (even the Hughes lead road course :D). The archer shop was fucking sweet, and Gooseberry was awesome. The hotel fun we great as well. Red bull taste like shit without the Jag! :D I got to know a few more members that I didn't really know before and all in all it was a great time, one I'd repeat any weekend.

Definitely a good trip, thanks to everyone who was able to make it! We definitely had some good high-speed highway runs :) Hopefully everyone made it home safe without incident.

That accident today was pretty bad, but I'm glad nobody from our group got tangled up in it. From the looks of it, a red Cavalier pulling a small utility trailer lost control and flipped. The two girls inside weren't wearing seatbelts, but both survived.

I'm glad Archer was able to open up their shop for us to check out, they had a lot more Vipers tucked away in semi trailers so they were able to pull the DSM's into the shop. If anyone is wondering, the yellow/black 2G is being sold for $500 as it sits (no engine, tranny, drivetrain), the red 1G race car is being sold for $1200 with a good transmission (no engine), and the gray 2G Talon is being sold for $10k (13k on chassis, 300 miles on engine).

What an awesome trip! 18 cars on the way up and 11 on the way back. Anna and I had a blast, glad to get more fun time with all of you guys! Brandon, looks like you're edging me out a little now and Aaron, just remember--it's reliable! ;) I'd do this again anytime, it was so fun.

The two girls in the accident were mostly fine, one had a broken arm and whiplash, but considering they were NOT WEARING THEIR SEATBELTS I think they're DAMN lucky! Here's what their car looked like:

Btw, I just want to publicly confirm that even though there was some 'testing and comparing' being done on the road, that we clearly had *nothing* to do with the above mentioned accident. I was one car behind JET in his M and we were just ahead of everyone else, moving along *with* traffic. He and I both saw the car flip and shit start spraying everywhere, but it was really just a huge cloud of dust.

Yeah, that was a blast! Luckily the weather was awesome the whole time. Next year we might have to do it a bit later so it is better top down weather! Going through the tunnels was sweet, i had the top down and everyone was doing pulls. it sounded like a real life Gran Turismo game!

I was planning on a different area so people don't get bored and always see new things. If we did a repeat, I wouldn't mind shooting down to Winona again; there are a lot of great backroads down in that area over on the WI side of the river. Input is welcome though!

We make that run on the bikes pretty often, that can be done in a day without needing to stay overnight. Lots of fun roads, but not much 4 lane for comparing cars :D

I was looking at the Minnesota River Valley, but my concerns are no major cities along that route except for Mankato and we won't be encountering many large highways for "comparing".

Good times! I finally got on the internet now. Scheides so did Aaron beat you? Looked like I was just edging you out now like you said. My wideband showed me running extremely rich, like around 10.5 on e85. I need to get this thing tuned ASAP. Anywho, ya Beth and I had a great time. I have some nice burns on my hands from my incident in the Menards parking lot. But hey, it wouldn't have been a DSM event if there weren't a couple car problems! Sorry I made us leave a little late, but I'd say we got it fixed quickly.

Sounds like everyone had a great time. Sorry I couldn't make it, but I had a work dinner I had to attend with some representitives from a company we do buisness with.

Thats awesome there wasn't any major car problems as well. I assumed there would be a story of a tranny swap in the hotel parking lot.
