Lomker, Anna, Rachael, Rosey, and I are all signed up for the Novice School!

Throw a fresh set of rubber on the evo and jetta and we're ready to rock!

Hrm, need to find a helmet for anna now.

Re: 2010 Bench Racer's League

just registered my dad and friend for it. I would do it again, but i don't wanna be a sandbagger and take the spot away from someone who has never done the class.

also, don't worry much about rubber. This clinic is for learning and improving your time via driving skills. Your overall time won't matter. A few of the experienced guys said its actually better to learn on shitty tires, that way you'll feel really in control with good tires :)

I will be there watching!

I dont think he's worried about rubber in that respect... his tires from last summer are just done!

hmm i need to figure out helmets for both of us lol! Do they need to be snell 2005?

Re: 2010 Bench Racer's League

Yup, Snell2005; M or SA rating doesn't matter for MAC.

Re: 2010 Bench Racer's League

You won't have to worry about rubber at all if it rains again

I was sideways for half the corners and still ran decent times compared to everyone else, without noticing any significant tire wear.

Heh, I just meant we need to swap out the snow tires for some summer tires, that's all :D

Dizzle, what size is your mellon? If anna could use yours that'd be awesome! How well does helmet sharing work?

I had an Arai from my motorcycle days but at 10 yrs old I need to chuck it. Too bad, looks mint and was rather expensive.

I ordered one of those Joe Rocket carbon helmets a couple days ago. I still have riding gear by them and that was a good value...hopefully the helmets are the same.

This is the last year that Snell2000 is allowed, in 2011 it will need to be 2005 or better. Snell2010 helmets aren't even out yet.

My helmet is a large. They have loaner helmets but they get put through the paces quite well at novice schools. Drivers can easily share helmets, but it's only really doable if they are in opposite driving groups so only one person uses it at a time.

Good call Matt, I don't think they're out until October 2010 or so...

Re: 2010 Bench Racer's League

Ya anna tried on zac's medium and it was really tight, large would prolly be just right. If she can borrow yours dizzle that would be awesometastic!

Re: 2010 Bench Racer's League

A large in a Arai helmet is different from a large in a HJC, Icon, Shoei, etc helmet and vice versa and what not.

If you guys didn't already know, just tossing it out there.
