Not at all. The hard way is the normal way for me. I could feel the plug and maybe if I yanked it off the bracket it attaches to I might have gotten to it. I'm not inclined to yank on important wiring that I can't see. lol.

My guess is you'll stick with the WORKS shifter. I love my TWM as it sits just perfect for me. I'm only 5'6" so my seat is further up than yours so it all feels relatively well.

From the review and looks of the shifters, I think taller people would most likely go with WORKS, while shorter people would likely go with TWM.

Not a bad job at all, took me maybe 45-60 mins working alone. I figured out the trick to removing the star washers with a screwdriver (2 actually) while not damaging them.

I think you're really on to something there. I'm getting more used to the TWM now, but I do feel myself stretching for 3rd and 5th. We'll see how I feel after a week.

Yeah, after sitting in your car and trying out the WORKS shifter and how it compared to my TWM, I got to thinking. It makes the most sense because when I adjusted the seat to where I sit and tried your shifter, it felt very weird and awkward (maybe because I was used to the TWM). However the more I thought about it, the more I realized that if the seat was further back and if I could reach it normally, it would be perfect for taller people (such as yourself). I then went through the same thought process with my TWM and I came to the same conclusion but for shorter people.

Given that, I'd recommend the WORKS to taller people and the TWM for shorter people. The thing I haven't figured out yet is at what height is the gray area. You're 6'3" and I'm 5'6", difference of 9". Would someone who is 5'10"-11" have a hard choice between the 2 shifters? I'm thinking that WORKS would still be preferred even at those heights (unless you have really long arms). I'm just going to guesstimate that 5'9" and above is where the WORKS shifter would shine. TWM for 5'8" and below.

I'm going to see if WORKS is willing to give me any of their R&D data on various designs, test-drivers, etc. I tried getting in contact with TWM last week and got nothing but ignored.

I'd be interested to see the results of that. A shame that TWM hasn't gotten back to you.

Going to explain why or just leave us hanging? :)

Just the same dislikes as before. The transmission feels to notchy and I feel myself actually leaning forward to get into 5th. The WORKS just seems to be a better fit for me and feels much smoother. I definitely will not call the TWM bad, just not right for me. I'm actually going to be installing it in a local's car tomorrow morning.

In better news, I did get the WORKS shifter reinstalled this morning and I also completely removed my rear o2 sensor since I had it disabled anyway.

Looks like a sway bar bushing to me.

It's a Whiteline rear swaybar bushing.

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!

I already heard back from Whiteline and they're getting a replacement shipped today from their US distributor! It's nice having a product that you know will be backed up if it fails.
