Hey,
So it turns out my 2G may need a new motor, i'm thinking 6 bolt. Anyone here have any good/bad experiences with places that sell/ship JDM motors?
I found this:

its a place to start, but I figured i'd get some opinions.
Anyone?

Well, my dad got a motor for his civic, and had great service from Rising Sun Motors in California.

Why order a JDM when the US-spec ones are just as good and quite possibly in better condition? Or you could just have either yours or a 6-bolt rebuilt.

Thanks! I put in a price quote request. Note, this is one of the importers on RRE's list.
Was he able to get it delivered to a residence or did it have to go to a business?

I don't want another 7 bolt. And if I had to get one rebuilt, do you know how much it would cost? I suppose I could do it myself, just am pretty busy with my other project car already.

They dropped it off right on our driveway next the the garage :) Good service. But those guys are right, why not find a running motor locally?

FYI, nearly any motor you'd get overseas could use a rebuild. You might as well buy a core motor, and have it built. That way you know its good.
