Ok, I know people have talked about this before but I just want to know if anyone has gone in to the dealer with their 2g for the front driver's side lower control arm recall with aftermarket shocks/springs. I just want to make sure I won't get jacked because I have an aftermarket suspension when I go in to replace the front lower control arm. And also, a recall should be for lifetime correct? Because the guy that had the car before me already went in for the recall once but its messed up again at the ball joint and it's leaking grease. The car is a 97 GSX

If the recall was already performed, they will not do it again. If the recall was done recently, the replacement parts may still be under the part warranty.

aw :( .. *reaches for my wallet*
Thanks for clearing that up for me Vicious
Dont go to the dealer, MOOG makes a lower control arm/balljoint that is lifetime warranty. You can get it at CarQuest, Bumper to Bumper, O'Riley. They are a lot cheaper than the OEM and come with a grease zerk so you can service the damn thing.
We just had a 96 Talon in at work but it was towed out because the recall had not been done yet.
Take care of it soon before it comes apart, more things will end up broken.
Check out the NHTSA website to see if it is a safety recall. All safety recalls are lifetime, like the T-case.

Bring it in to Metro Mitsubishi in Bloomington and I'm sure we'll goodwill warranty it for you.
