My friend's ecu is dead. So I am trying to fing a replacement.
What is the difference between EPROM and non-EPROM?

Is EPROM just easier to tune with?

Is it needed to get his car going again?

What is a good going rate? I have been seeing anywhere from $75 non eprom to $400 EPROM

Average price for a good condition non-eprom ecu is $75-100. I'll have to check the few we have in inventory to see if they are good (not sure).
The eprom's go for $200-400. The eprom is a nice feature if you are going to use it as a tuning aid (socket it, and burn chips). It is not required to make a vehicle run.
If his car is a 91, all 91-94 manual transmission turbo ECU's will work for him.

Hey Thanks, when you find out if the ecu's you have in stock are good or not let me know, it will give me a reason to sneak up and see the huge new shop.

If they don't have one, I have about 15-20 non eprom ECUs.

How much do you want for one?

Go with lightening, we don't have enough time right now to test one.
