I hope he sells it right away now, cause I don't think he deserves it anymore.
Not necessarily, I am going to come to Matt's defense here and say that he has come to too many conclusions too quickly. Just give him a chance ;)

I think jakey is right, I just started making assumptions about the car too soon.
The whole bringing it home from my trip I was happy thinking o got a good deal.
The first thing I did was open the box for the head, It wasn't the same head as described at all. I sent him and e-mail and within like 15min. he responded on it. Okay thats 1 thing not a huge deal.
Next morring I unload the car. First thing i do was pop the hood and the trans was sitting on the cross member and the rest of the engine weight was resting AC compressor. I know this was kinda my fault for not seeing the engine mount wasn't there but i only looked under the 1 time and I didn't catch it cause i was more concerned about other things.
So then I start looking through the boxes inspecting the parts and noticed many small things wrong like the throttle body was there but was missing the TPS and BISS. not a big deal at all. but then I look at the MAF and its from a 95 galant, I’ve never hear of anyone putting a galant maf on a dsm but I’m guessing there the same. But just many small things like individually they are all very small but when you start adding all of them up it starts to look like a bunch of miss-matched parts.
Then I start looking closer and finding sensors and a bunch of small stuff that weren't there coil pack, thermostat, that kinda stuff so I send him a e-mail on the parts.
Then I go look through the inside and found a paper that has the warranty work done to it(i'm guessing this is the time when theft was done to it) Tranny work was done to the 3rd and 4th gear at 26k I don't story behind it but i look at it in the worst way wondering why the heck did tranny work need to be done at only 26k and that the car must have been beat to hell to have tranny work done at 26k.
So after all that I come on this site and start reading about how happy he was to get rid of the car. So after a couple of days of waiting he still hasn't responded to my e-mail about the missing parts. Naturally with all of the above I start to come to the conclusion that he ripped me off and theres probley a lower end or tranny problem since he raced it. So i get upset and kinda take it out on the board. Like I said I'm sorry and shouldn't have did it.
Anyways he has since responed and i don't regret buying it.
BTW don't plan the car being for sale any time soon
what gave you the idea that i was going to sell it anyways :brownnoser:

It's a DSM and a FWD one at that.

but still at 26k out of the factory? i don't thing mitsu could have kept putting a tranny in a car for around 5 years if it was normal for it to need major repair at 26k. o well its fixed now, i don't want to make a bid deal about how the tranny broke since its fixed now. and its really not that big of a deal to me
If it's not a big deal, and you don't regret it...then shut up about, k? :D

:blah: :blah: hey i'll shut up when everyone else shuts up, k? :blah: :blah:
Actually you will shut up now about this or go somewhere else and bitch. You got a smoking deal on the car for the price you paid. Look at the good side of things. Or sell it.

Really I'm not bitching about it, it may have seemed like that at first i guess. Really this is between me and Nash too. I already said I shouldn't have posted that in the first place. Lock this tread for all I care. I'm just defending myself from your own comments.

Just one more point to, you don't know the sacrifice I made based on my income either to buy this car. I may have got a totally killer deal. But I honestly put in the very highest offer I could on this car based on what I was getting and what I wasn’t getting. I have a sheet with all the expenses to get this car running too. I figured out the very max I could pay for it then I subtracted the missing parts, taxes, hauling expenses that crap than gave him the price. A couple hundred dollars worth of parts that weren’t factored in to the original price is huge for me. I’m not trying to bitch or complain about anything thats just the truth of the situation I’m in.
Dead serious being 16 I pretty much gave up about everything I worked for in my life to this car. I'm just starting my first accuall part time job at menards on monday for a wopping $6 an hour before expences :D
