I'm very sad to hear about this, Brian. I've lost a brother, a grandfather and grandmother... I know what family losses are like and know what you're going through. My grandmother died of a stroke, so I know what it's like to be on the fence wondering if they're going to make it or not. I unfortunately never got the chance to meet your parents, but from what others have said it's obvious where you got your outgoing personality and selflessness from. You've done a lot for many of us here, so I can only return the favor in offering an ear to talk to if you ever need it. Let me know...

(This is Jenny)
Thanks everyone for keeping us in your prayers. This has been a very difficult time for our family and we appreciate it more than you know.
It was just so sudden and unexpected. He was gone within a few hours and none of us were ready to see him go. We can now be more at peace with things because we were able to spend a lot more time with him this year. We are thankful for that.
We have all benefited from the times we have spent with him, the hunting trips, RV vacations and just time spent hangin out playing cards at the kitchen table. He is deeply missed.
We are very grateful to have had him in our loives as long as we did. I can't believe he's gone, and I am so glad he was there for our wedding and the birth of his grandchild. it wouldn't have been complete without him there.
I think the most difficult time will be the next time we come to visit and don't see his shoes by the front door or his polarfleece jacket hanging over a kitchen chair. He is so missed and will never be forgotten.
I'll have to write more later....it's too hard to type with tears in my eyes.

I was imagining this very thing as I read what you wrote. I know the feeling. Like I said before I wish I could have met him just once.

Brian and Jenny, I am sorry to hear about your Father. As many have already mentioned, your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
