*Car has been sitting for 1.5 years. HAS been started a few times succesfully inbetween that period.*
Ok, so i've gotten enough things on my car together to try to start it recently. My first attempt (3 days ago), it would just crank. Tonight, I did a compression test (120-125 dry, 140-145 wet - but this is after it's been sitting, rings coulda been dried out). After that, I sprayed some starting fluid in the TB. All 3/4 tank of old gas was drained out. 1 gallon of new gas was put in. After this, it started up and acted normal for about 1.5-2 seconds. After the starting fluid was used up, it would only CHOKE then die immediately. We did this several times, and found out you can even rev it to whatever you want without any flaws, until that 2 seconds is over. Then dead.
What the heck? FPR does not leak, Injectors have less than 1500 miles on them and are only 2 years old (rebuilt though, sold by KDM). Injector clips are Alan's. You could hear the fuel pump cycle during compression test (car was too loud to hear during fail-starts). Spark plugs are brand new. Plug wires are all fine.
Is it possible that I wired the wrong wires together when I put the new injector clips in? In the past, the car would sometimes start then kill, then you'd have to crank for 20 seconds or so to choke it to life. This was before the newest injector clips.
