I think he got bit by the "detonation monster". Or didn't torque a rod bolt correctly.
I liked how they were picking up the pieces thinking they wouldn't be hot.

Came across this... sounds intersesting... I might be doing this, just cause of the fast I have a handle on a free MS 1 that my buddy bought and has no use for, and I need to get an intake senser other than a 1G one...

I have no idea why it takes 35psi to make only 450whp on a turbo that big, and then somehow manage to blow up the motor. Even weak 7-bolts can handle over 500whp and back when I had my 7-bolt 2.0l and a little 54-trim stage 2 turbo, it made 450whp at 25psi.
This is what the guy said... Ran 11.9 @ 119 on this turbo.
Ran it on a pte scm60... the car blew up on the dyno, but all is well because next year will have MUCH more in store :)
shit happens, the car wasnt meant to run the 500WHP that day
that and that turbo shouldnt make peak power at 6200 RPMS I need an intake manifold BADLY!!!!!
the car will be 500 off the bottle hopefully come soon!
I guess he has a GT35r now.

Go buy DSMLink and save yourself some money.

I thought someone would have mentioned ecu+... cheaper than dsmlink and no need for a eprom ecu. hell you can even run blow thru on a gm sensor without having the gm maft... I suggest you guys check it out...

ECUPlus is a piggyback system like an S-AFC or E-Manage. It isn't in the same league as a standalone system like Megasquirt or stock ECU manipulation like DSMLink.

I don't think "IT" costs people engines, I think its the people tuning em.... cause its not user friendly and they dont know what the hell their doing, so they just guess....
