It's not US legal and 10 bucks says eBay pulls the auction before it's over....

How do you know its not US legal? Also, the auction already ended before you got the chance to post! So there for ebay did not pull it.

In fact I bet that auction is a scam and some poor guy's account got jacked. I swear 1 out of 5 auctions on eBay is a scam these days (especially eBay Motors).

If that were a real Motorex car (which none of the Skylines in 2F2F were) it would probably sell for over $100,000. There probably won't be anymore truely legal skylines coming into the US.

If there were so many scams going on then why would so many people still use them and why would they still be in business. If so many people where getting screwed as you say then I gaurantee the FBI would be involved and shut down ebay. Same sorta thing happened with DSMTrader, there where a lot of scams going around so they were forced to make it more secure before allowing anymore classifieds to be posted.

Also, why would movie companys use $100,000+ cars when they can get 5 of them that look like the real one but be a replica for that price? Few people can spot the differance compared to the million+ people that have probably watched the movie. They arent out to buy really nice cars to smash them up for our enjoyment, they want to make good money from it and thats what they do. Just like using a N/T eclipse in the first one. Why on earth would they? Cause it's cheaper and less of a demand on them.

Why are you getting so bent out of shape over this? Are you one of those people that think if its not a $100,000+ Motorex...blah blah blah...Skyline, it isnt a real Skyline? You cant just appreciate the car because its a nice car?

wait? um? Do you really think they jumped the car off the bride like that?

And over a fuckin Supra??? I think not. They might have made a little jump but nothing like was shown in the movie. There is no way the car would have stayed together. Just like the Supra and the S2000 both got all smashed up.

Dude, I'm not mad. I'm just telling the facts. It ended using "Buy It Now" so it never had a chance to finish. Read the feedback the winning bidder left on that auction. Also compare the sellers other auctions versus the skyline one, they don't really add up (especially since the car is in CA and seller is in the UK).

I've extensively looked into buying a skyline so that's why I know that car is not legal. The real owner tried to sell it a couple months ago and listed in the auction it was not legal. I've watched many skyline auctions end early because all cars sold on eBay in the US must be legal. There has only been one Motorex car sold on eBay lately at it was a GTS-T. They even pulled his auction 3 times before he could convince eBay it was a legal car.

No they didn't use $100,000 cars for the reasons you stated, and that's why they didn't use Motorex cars and that's why they aren't technically US legal. I never said I didn't like that car (I'd take it), I just said it wasn't legal.

I was exagerating on the 1 out of 5 auctions being a scam, but it's a lot. So be careful when you buy on eBay.

I was pretty sure the "Hero" car of 2f2f was a genuine motorex car.
Either way, its just a skyline ;).

LMAO! Someone actually sent $60k thru paypal? What a moron! He left the feed back 1 minute and 34 seconds after he hit the "Buy it Now" button. That is pathetic.

They're not aloud to import anymore skylines and they're in deap sh*t for trying to dup the NHTSA. They have like 35 skylines waiting for conversion and it's not looking good for those owners. There's a lot more info on the "FreshAlloy" forums for anyone interested.

Looks like Craig Lieberman's car (the "hero" car) was a Motorex skyline. Just like the yellow one in the first movie was. The stunt cars weren't though, which was what the auction was for.
