I might have jumped the gun here but I picked up this suit
http://www.sparcousa.com/pracewear_suits.asp?id=4 in expectation that I'll need it once I start to run Race gas in my car.
I picked it up for $527 from a guy that crashed his porsche he used it for 1 year (bought it in 2004 brand new) it has some embroidery, but I'll be taking that out (he put his name on his suit, along with a small logo of his company)

I don't think it'll show up for this weekends racing. So this weekend will be another pump gas track day. I hope it fits ok. He's 6'1 and 195lbs where as I'm 6'3" and 215lbs. If it doesn't well it'll just be an excuse for me to loose some weight.

Hopefully he didn't piss his pants when he crashed ;)

Damn, what kind of ETs do you have to be running to where a fire suit is required?

10.99 and faster is a suit. 11.49 for a jacket.

When did they change that? It was 10.0-11.99 required a jacket when I bought mine.

10.00-11.49 Requires a Jacket. It used to be 11.99, until they lowered it down to 11.49 for the jacket and roll bar. 9.99 and quicker requires pants, gloves, shoes, neck collar, etc.

What about road racing?

Also my brother was just trying on suits at a local shop and looks like this won't fit me by the way he was descibing it. So I guess it's off to Ebay once it comes in. I was hoping that if it didn't fit me then it would fit my brother who is a lot smaller then me. But even he said he was a size 62 and that I'd be size 64 where as this is a size 60

With an oem or steel firewall you guys are right.
Jacket with pants and non-open toed shoes required down to a 10.0
9.99 et and faster, full suit with gloves required. (and everything else).
Thats most nhra/ndra classes.
But thats just the minimum for safety.
