WTF are you talking about? It will build pressure in your system and it will show on your boost gauge. Unless the leak is really big then it might show nothing at all on the gauge.

Try putting the tester on your t-body elbow. Then you can narrow down the spots at where it could be leaking from.

actually it dose not fully pressurize the manifold why would you want it to thats the meaning of boost leak tester not manifold tester if you wanted to you could open the TB an then it would some an maybe you shouldnt be a smart ass if you dont know what your talking about

It makes no difference where you have your gauge hooked up too. When you hook the tester up and fill the system it's just like the turbo spooling so you should see the gauge move.

And start using your fucking shift key or your stay here will be short.

You want it to pressurize the intake manifold, because often that is the biggest problem area. And boost will have no problem getting into the intake manifold with the TB closed. If air couldn't get past the TB plate when throttle is closed, then the car wouldn't be able to idle. If you put 30 psi of pressure into your turbo inlet and you don't see any boost on your gauge, then you have a major leak or 20.

Could you have a leak at your t-body? Could you have a leak at your intake mainfold? Yes and yes. So putting it on the t-body will either eliminate those spots or show you have a leak at one of those spots. If there are no leaks there then it tells you that it's between the turbo and the t-body.

Alright, I can't believe you haven't been banned yet. This is a tech thread, stop giving us headaches trying to read your posts. I will say it again, shut up if you don't know what you are talking about, at least in a tech thread. In a boost leak test the air will easily pressurize the intake manifold. Your boost guage reading is coming from the intake manifold, so if that reads pressure then you have to have pressure in the manifold!
