So I am driving along northbound on Cedar Ave. and they're doing some construction on the roads and they scraped off a good chunk of the old road. There's a sign that says bump on the corner of 155th and Cedar Ave. so I slow down to 30ish mph but yet still the *$&#@!$ bump is so bad that it broke the spring mount/shelf on my rear kyb shock. Luckily nothing more got damaged. My brother bent 3 of his rims on the same bump and another guy with a benz came up to me while I was waiting for a flatbed and said he bent his 20" rims on the same bump. So BEWARE!!! if you life in the Apple Valley/Lakeville area watch out for that damn bump on the intersection of 155th and Cedar Ave. (In front of Watson's Pool/Spa and stuff store) I'm going to file a claim with the county.

::EDIT::

Ok I took some pics. All I have to say is.. WTF!!??

Ok, I added some pics up above, it's just mind blowing... (by the way they apparently "fixed" that "bump" for now.. I'm still not driving in that area until it's repaved.)

That must be one hell of a bump. Wow, good luck with the claim!

Did you take any pictures of the bump before it was "fixed" and/or get the contact information for any of the other people who sustained vehicle damage?

I would've gone back and taken pics but I didn't have a car to go back to the seen in. And by the time I fixed my car my dad said they "fixed" it by putting some tar over it I guess. I should've got the contact info of the guy with the benz that stopped and talked to me but I was trying to get my car on the flatbed. The guy with the benz did take pics of the bump so at least someone has evidence of what it looked like before they "fixed" it. I do however have one contact, my brother who bent his rims on the same bump so. I'm sure more people screwed there car up on it otherwise they wouldn't have temporarly fixed it. Actually, now that I think about it Dick's Valley Service, who towed my car, saw the bump and so they are another witness I guess.

instead of filing a claim with the city, file one with KYB shocks. seems their equipment is faulty.

and on the other hand, don't youthink the car looks more slammed that way? maybe you should break the other spring perches. ;)

I was driving down in that area last night and I noticed the way the road is half good, half ripped up. I didn't hit anything to damaging, but that sucks about your car!

You should be entitled the claim. Mind you there is construction going on but the workers at least have to make the surfaces driveable. You WILL need pictures of the bump. You will waste your time making a claim without any evidence. They will say the damage sustained to your car could have happened anywhere/anytime.
