View Full Version : I just bought the shitbox to end all shitboxes.
I was thinking you got ripped for $300, until I saw the turbo outlet! Sweet deal!

damn, how did you get a supra motor in there?
i've wanted that setup for a while. you should swap that spare to the front and get another to match the other side.
or get all four spares.
It runs perfectly, it just needs a clutch. The body is junk, it has a control arm from an NA colt and the sway bar isnt bolted on. Probably due to structural damage. But who cares? It has a good tranny and motor and will get me back and forth to work all winter style(or complete lack of).
It has the little brother of the DSM motor, a 4G61 with an 11b for a turbo. Think 4G64, only go the opposite direction on displacement. Everything is identical and nearly everything that you can pull out of a DSM engine bay can be bolted onto this 2400lb pile of 80's trash.
I know a guy with some a nice shell if you want to swap it over after the winter.
Probably not. It would really only be worth the effort if it were a nice turbo shell, and if thats the case he can get good money for it.
It might end up being sorta quick, but its still a beat up winter car and I dont see myself putting much money into it.
No, he just has some regular colt shells that you could swap the turbo stuff into. Let me know if you want to sell it after the winter, he would probably buy it.

Yeah, 10 seconds to 40 mph. :D
Nice catch Chris. She's a bit rough, but at least you don't have to track down those little hard to find parts doing the swap with a NA Colt. With a decent 4G63 and 14b, a little suspension work and a good clutch, you could be in the 12's easily. Hell, some tweaks and some slicks and you could be in the 11's.

Nah, I just dont see it wheel-hopping its way down the track faster than my VR4 any time soon. If I can get it into the 14's or so for a couple hundred bucks worth of stock DSM parts and get to work and back every day without too much shit going wrong, I'll be more than happy.
