Alright as some of you know my car got stolen about a month ago and he stole my radio. Now I wired everything and hooked my new deck up and nothin. I have the 12 volt and ground hooked up, the speakers hooked up, and the antenna plugged in. Checked the fuse for the radio and it was bad so i replaced it and still nothing. Anyone know what my problem is? Or is there anyone that installs decks that could take a look at it? Your help would be much appreciated, since driving without a radio sucks.

Grab a multimeter and run a voltage check on the power wire.

make sure your memory wire is hooked up. it is usually a yellow wire.

""The fuse for the radio and it was bad so i replaced it and still nothing.""

The radio could be junk.

It's a brand new radio I would hope not. And I believe the yellow wire is a constant wire which burned out and I haven't replaced yet. This shouldn't matter for the radio to turn on it just wouldn't save the memory, it worked with my other radio.

Put a 10amp fuse with a jumper wire in line directly with your battery and hook the red and yellow from the deck directly to it. If it lights up than you know your wiring in the car is fucked and you can start looking from there. If is doesnt light then you know it is the deck(assuming it is properly grounded).

If it lights get a multi-meter and start checking your wires one at a time til you find the culprit.

Good luck!

Why did your memory wire burn out? And hell why is the fuse blown? On some radio the yellow wire must be hooked up for the radio to work. Yes I do know what I am talking about. Do you have a mutimeter. If Yes check to make sure you have power at your harness. Power as in your constant 12v and your acc 12v. Also check to make sure you have a good ground. If you want to know if your radio works than do what tim has mentioned. Did you check your main car fuses?

Are you sure you have the correct twelve volt hooked up? Sounds like you don't have your factory harness any more. Let me know more. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.
