Our Boss shot a 12.6' Alligator down here with 2' of tail missing, supposedly it was really close to the state record, it was over 110years old, and weighted 1200lbs.

Now 2 days ago I was in his office and he was showing me pictures of an Alligator that was killed by police in Mississippi that they said was feeding off the dead. Now I didn't see anything else but the pictures, but he said he read it was 22 feet long and weighed over 3500lbs. The police were going to cut open it's stumache and to see if there were any remains of humans that they could do DNA tests on.
I've seen monster alligators in Mississippi...monsters. The guys I ran around with in high school used to go out in 12' boats and the alligators would dwarf the boats.

The largest one I've seen personally in the wild here is only about 6', Most are in the 3-4' range. But the native Floridians say that if you want to see the big ones you have to get out in the swamp buggies and get way out into the swamps.

22' ???
Thats just sick.
Yet another reason Mississippi and Flordia marshes aren't to appealing to me.

Just like that one? I'd have to call bs on the 22' gator unless it was found next to a nuclear plant.

Don't know Like I said I only saw the pictures he printed out. And he was just passing on what he read. Personally though it made his alligator look really small.

When I was a kid I went on a camping trip with my family to OKEFENOKEE (sp) swamp where we rented little 9hp boats and went out to the swamps where we I saw alligators that did dwarf those boats, several were supposedly 15'+ in length according to the Forest Rangers.

I really like living in Minnesota now. What is going to kill us, as far as other species here up north? A bear maybe a wolf or a moose could kill us.

I think up here we have more of a problem with each other than any animals. I would be more scared walking down Hennipin Ave at 2am than I would strapping a fucking steak to my back and taking a long walk through the woods anywhere in Minnesota.

That's pretty funny.
