well. the other day when i was done fixing my boosts leak i decided to put lucas oil stabilizer in my oil. i put in one whole pint into my oil. i also put seafoam in my gas tank. then i ran some seafoam into my vacuum lines. now when i do a wot it starts knocking like at 5800 rpm. knock goes up to like 25 and my timing decreases. i am all stock at 14-15 psi. my inj d/c is at 99% most of the time at wot. any idea? i already had a post like this earlier but wanted to post again with more detail.

Lucas oil stabilizer tends to be thicker but that shouldnt cause it to knock any. Using the seafoam could. I'd run the tank of gas out, put in some 93+ octane and see if that helps any.

If your all stock then why did you raise the boost? I wouldnt rais the boost past stock ~11 psi until you rewire your fuel pump of get some fuel management. You will probably be hitting fuel cut soon if you raise the boost even more. I would lower the boost a couple PSI and see if that helps since your maxing your injectors already.
Could be carbon deposits on the pistons causing knock also creating hot spots...etc.

sorry to interrupt, but stock boost is set at 11? I've always wondered what stock boost was. When I got my car the (stock) gauge shot up to 14 psi, so I always thought that was stock...weird. K, back to topic. :D See if you're still knocking when the boost is back down. Stupid knock....I hate knock....

well. i was logging it on a new gas of tank. so the gas shouldnt be a problem. ill try to lower the boost tommorow and see what happens.

WTF does the fact of the gas being new have to do with whether it is good or not? Read some of the threads around here about people discussing where good places are to fuel up since many places sell shit quality gas.

The stock gauge does not read off air pressure it reads of what the MAS says its reading for air units. So its a total guess on what pressure is really there for boost.
