So the other day I was told by someone that it is bad to mount your fuel pressure regulator on your firewall? Does anyone know anything about this? He said something about vibrations. I dont see how it can make any kind of difference where the regulator is, but if i am wrong i would like to know so i can move it.

Also my fpr makes a squeaking noise sometimes and i cant seem to figure out why it does this, along with the squeaking it also varies Fuel pressure. I am going to try rewiring my fuel pump and see if that helps, but i am also not sure if the GVR-4s have the wiring problem.

Any information is appreciated

I don't have a current NHRA rulebook, but in the past the rules did not allow a firewall mounted regulator. That's the only reason I've never mounted them to the firewall. As far as vibrations, I've always mounted them to engine mounted brackets on Fords & Chevys. I've never had a regulator failure.

So i finally figured out what kind of AFPR i have it is one of those OBX ones. Anyone else have one and know how to make it work better? MIne is working but i can never get it right where i want it. Also the way it is set up the gauge it comes with will only measure return line pressure or am i looking at this this all wrong. It was sent to me for free from a friend in california.

Any info on this FPR is appreciated
