Ok, I have a 97 GSX and I installed a ACT 2600 clutch about a month ago and everything went fine. But recently there is a squeaking noise when I press the clutch pedal coming from somewhere in the engine bay right behind the clutch pedal and the firewall. It also feels like there is a strain on the clutch pedal along with the squeaking sound when I press it, like something is rubbing against something else? I don't know how to describe it. No fluids seem to be leaking, I check almost every other day to be sure. I tried doing the clutch pedal adjusting thing, not sure if I did it right, but that didn't seem to do anything except slightly reduce the distance the clutch pedal travels. Does anyone know if these are symptoms of a bad master/slave cylinder? Should I bleed the clutch again? Anyone have any ideas?

The rod going into your master cylinder might just need grease. It doesnt sound like anything is really wrong though other than that.

I have the same problem. Still cant figure out what the problem is, but nothing has went wrong yet. Never thought about the rod needing to be greased.

I greased it.. but it just went back to the same problem after a week or so. I think my master cylinder is just bad.
