ok, so i was reading on dsmtuners and they said it would be safe to run 18 psi with stock injectors and upgraded fuel pump and no fuel management system. would this be ok? or would i need bigger injectors and fuel management system?

How are you going to get around boost/fuel cut with 18psi and stock injectors? Do you have a chip?

You may be running too much air and not enough fuel to support. Thats why I'm upgrading to 650 cc inj, AFC2 and a better fuel pump.

You would have to monitor it to make sure it is safe, but it should be able to handle it. We didn't put an AFC on my girlfriend's car until after she had already run 12s. We were running 24 psi on race gas. I think Cher ran his 14B in the 20s also with an AFC set at all zeros doing nothing. The stock 450s will handle more power than a 14B will make. I wouldn't recommend you go out and run high boost on it unless you know how to tune using a datalogger and are ready to do some MAS hacking.

I wouldn't turn the boost up anymore until you open up that exhaust also.

I ran 18lbs+with my Laser with the 14b before I had any fuel mods. My MAS was pretty hacked though and it was running on the edge. I found out the hard way a few times when the boost crept when it was colder out and I burnt up a few exhaust valves. I had a full 3" exhaust as well. I would stay in the 16-17lbs range if I were you.
