sounds like a vacuum leak to my limited knowledge

Vacuum leak, or maybe a belt is slipping under load, ussually teh AC belt slips and squeels under load, but if the AC is off that should lget rid of that cause. Maybe alternator or PS belts are loose and slip under more load?

Check their tension and then check for vacuum leaks with a stethescope if you have one.

[QUOTE=tALoNGiRL118]I was unsure where this would belong, but when I hit the gas, even the slightest bit, I hear a wierd whistling noise. It doesn't sound to dangerous, and I don't really know how to describe it, just as a sort of low pitched whistle. I was wondering what it might be, if its normal, and if it needs attention?[/QUOTE

Did you put an intake in it by any chance?, that might cause a whistling noise.

Erik: Uhh Haha? Ok? Anyways, everything looks good to me, however I am deffinately NOT an expert. Only thing I see wrong with my engine right now is that its dirty. :(

Eclipseturbo: I don't usually use my AC and the last time this happened it was cold out, so I for sure was not using AC. How much damage could these things cause, if any, and how soon do I need to fix them?

Boostedawd: No Intake. That comes this winter :)

No i think i started it, but you should probly just check over all the regular maitenance items, and then go over all the intake piping, and exhaust too. Anywhere there could be pressure or vaccum

Does it whistle for a long duration or does it do it real quick?

Is it your gas pedal squeaking? The pedal in both of my Talons and my GS-X have always had intermittent squeaks.

I've heard some throttle bodies whistle when they have a nice amount of carbon buildup in them. The air just whistles past them at certain throttle positions/loads.

As long as I am hitting the gas, it whistles. But, say, I stop at a stop light, it will stop, and then it won't just start back up right away, it starts back up after I've been driving awhile. But it's not a squeak. It's for sure a whistle.

Did someone put one of those fake turbo spooling noise makers on you exhaust?

Haha no. But I've checked a lot out on it and I don't think anything is leaking. I'm wondering if its possible that it could just be wind blowing up through an opening in the engine bay. However, that doesn't explain why it does it when I'm pressing the gas and only at certain times... To my knowledge anyways.
