Just wanted to let you guys know my brother just broke the record for the standing mile for a 4cylinder car this past weekend in N.C.

He found out the record was previously only 113mph in the mile. http://www.ecta-lsr.com/recordscars2.htm

Went there this past weekend and broke the record. Trapped in at 152mph
Here's the link to the video:

I always wondered if those times were some kind of an average speed over the mile or something, because some of them were so damn low.

I just don't think anyone had done it in so long. I was supposed to go with him. But at the last minute he asked if I wouldn't bring my car. Because I would have been competing in the same class as him and he knew I'd beat his time. So I just went to Moroso instead.

Sad part is he's probably only going to hold that record for a month. The guy that told him about it, is my brothers tuner and is bringing his 450whp MR2 there next month. So it'll be short lived but at least he can say he held the record.

Short lived, but worth it. All your brother has to do is not update his site.
