And also remember the new law that went into affect. Get caught over 100mph, lose your license for 6 months.
And remember, careless driving tickets (what they usually give for street racing, wreckless pleaded down to careless) on your record aren't the greatest when you are looking at getting a new job. And before you say that you won't be driving for your job, I don't drive for my job but they check anyways because if you have to use your car for business purposes you are on their insurance. Their insurance doesn't look very favorably on those kinds of tickets. Some businesses are different from others, but it's something to think about. I have 2 carelesses on my record from street racing (one from Red Rock and one from the highway) so I am speaking from experience. This shit stays on your record for 5 years and is just under a DUI in the eyes of insurance.
Just some food for thought.

Street racing isn't dumb. The kids you are racing against and the spot you're racing in is dumb. I have no idea why a cop should care if decent people are racing. I hav found that if you do it in a good spot and there are people that will be screwing it up or getting hurt, the cops don't care.

We race in hidden places. We don't race where people would get hurt.

I understand, and I'm not trying to blast you or anyone else. But understand that I'm not talking about the two year old who walks down the middle of the street and 2am. (Come on we've all been told how we will kill a little kid at some point). I'm talking about having the right people there and the wrong ones not there. Red Rock was perfect at first. Then we had the "thugs" and truck guys and bike guys come down. The "thugs" were 16 years old wiggers that thought they would come down and sell a rock or two. They brought cops who used the presence of the "thugs" as a foot-in-the-door to come down and search cars. The real problem started with the truck/bike guys. Truck guys are ego filled retards and bike guys are ego filled retards. You put both of these hicks and jocks together and some one dies. I was there for two of these deaths. A thrid happened in the same summer. Now it was said that street racing was outa control and dangerous. Sure it is...
No one was ever hurt during a race! Not in the 15+ years there.
Make sure everyone at your spot, knows someone else there. NO STRANGERS!
Make sure everyone knows how it works. At one spot a few strangers showed up and wanted to race, we let them. They raced and then turned around, with their headlights off and raced back! Towards us and against traffic! We sould have explained how things worked to them before or just told them to watch.
Good Luck to everyone and I hope to see you out there!
