Ok i picked up a turbo from a kid named josh on here. he thought it was the stock t25 for my 2g. well after a couple people saying that its not and him saying he was pretty sure it isnt either i am just trying to figure out what turbo it is and what i need to buy to put it on.
on the turbo there is a circle showing J36 then next to it its says M24 Garrett A/r 48 1-1
on the other side it says 678 029 garrett then i cant make this out 278-2?

Not even close to a T25. Looks to be a full t3 turbo. As for what you need to get it on your car, a whole bunch of money.

Isn't that a T25 that comes on some of the twin turbo setups??? I don't know. That's just a crazy guess of mine.

I second the guess as an SR20 turbo. Try and sell it on ebay. Not worth messing with it. Try and cut your losses. Sell it to someone who is making a "custom" turbo kit for thier civic.

After selling the "t-25" for a friend, I quickly realized it wasn't a T-25. I didn't take a second glance at it, but after we sold it, I thought about what a T-25 looks like and that definitly wasn't it.
I pmed him offering his money back and everything since that was fucked up. As far as the turbo goes, could I contact a garret vendor and figure out exactly what the turbo is and the application?

thats not a horrible turbo.
just appears to be a garret special, probly a 46 trim wheel....48a/r is good for response. It'd make a good street turbo i bet.
