non oxygenated gas is only needed when the vehicle is going to not be used in a regular fashion. It doesn't gel up as much after it sits for awhile, you can use stabil to keep it from geling up as well. If you are going to use the gas right away it doesn't matter if its non oxygenated or not. Just use the BP/Amoco or Holiday 93, don't use SA gas though, or Citgo, ect. Unless you want a knock monster.
Where the hell did you get that from? Non-oxygenated means non-ethanol. That means you get a little more power out of it because gas has more energy in it than ethanol.

I think a lot of the non-oxy gas available may be of lower quality though, I did some testing with it back when I had my Talon and I got more knock and lower MPG with it, plus the car just didn't feel as strong.

I guess I should have worded it better. You should only have to worry about using non oxygenated fuel for older vehicles. Tests have shown that the contents of the oxy fuels can damage older fuels systems. So basically if you are storing your vehicle a lot and not driving it regularly, or if its really old a non oxy fuel would be a better choice. I am not sure if this pertains to DSMs, I would guess not because I have never heard of shit wearing out because of oxy fuels.

DSM's were designed for up to 10% ethanol content, the non-oxy fuel is primarily intended for collector vehicles, boats, small engines, and other off-highway vehicles.

You use more ethanol than normal gas, so you get worse gas mileage with ethanol. But since you use more of it, it works out to about a 1% higher power potential from the same amount of gas, even with its low BTUs. So, it's about the same. Methanol on the other hand has even less heat energy that ethanol, but you need to run so much more of it reach stoich that it ends up making 15-20% more power at the same boost level.
