Maybe not THAT meaningful.

Anyways, the other day I was going down Cliff [thats in Eagan, for all you non-Eagan people], and this guy in a green Eclipse GST decides to play with me. Bad idea. My car may not be fast, but I fucked with him anyways. So we're messin' around, you know how it goes, and we pull into the Shooters parking lot. Haha, he ACTUALLY asked me what was done to my car!! I laughed, told him it was NA and there was no point, and he agreed. But then I got to thinking. My car will be sitting in my garage for the WHOOOOOLE winter, it would seem selfish of me not to touch my car all winter. Poor baby won't even get to do any drivin! :( So i was thinking about doing that drop I have been talking about forever. But I was just wondering if you guys could think of anything else I can do to it over the winter. I don't think I want to turbo it, I fear all the Fucking problems I will get if I do that. But other than maintnaince things, what should I do? Body, Engine? I want to make a new box for my subs, and fix the way it looks back there, it looks kind of ghetto right now. Oh and SLOWBUBBLECAR I think you should give me your name once I get my winter car, haha. Oh that car is awesome!

Throw some Naws in it. Maybe you can take the name in a little bit. I am not sure what to change mine to though. What kind of a hoopty did you get for your winter car? You could always be slowerbubblecar. Maybe we could race sometime for the name ;)

You can put a test pipe in it. That is cheap and worth while. After this many miles it might be clogged anyway.

Im wondering why you just dont drive the car over the winter. Beaters suck and I really miss just driving a fun car year round. Most of the year here in MN is winter so its even that more painful waiting for spring to come.

Also since its not modded alot with a FMIC and bodykit etc why not play with it in the snow? Get some cheap steelies with snow tires and play in it. Just undercoat the car and winterize it.

Then when you want to change it up and get a real dsm (awd) ;) then make it your summer car and build it up..

Peter, its a 420a, not a turbo car. If you saw the condition ( and how she fucking drives!) you would see why she doesn't want to drive it in the winter.

I know its a NA, thats why it needs to be driven in the winter ;)

Do some REAL maintence versus upgrades that will bring virtually no horsepower gains. Change out all your fluids, tune-up, etc. Make the car last longer before trying to pull out monster 16 sec. timeslips. Just my thoughts.

I say you do what we talked about.

Your car is very clean, I don't even know if I would drive it in the winter to be honest, and I am TOTALLY against cars being garage queens.

Do a simple drop and struts if you have money for them, to make it actually handle decent. Then depending on mileage do a Timing belt so you don't have to worry about that, I can help you if you want to, and then just all the basic maintence. Trust me, a 420a is not worth modding in any sense of the word since (for a DSM at least) there is a much better alternative (4G63);) and AWD.

But if you don't find a decent winter beater then just drive the damn thing, then next summer or whenever you have money, but a AWD DSM, preferably 1g;)

Tauni you tell the BEST stories. Sell your nice Neon and get a walked 2G. Swap in a 6 bolt and still have some money to get your nails done.
