Turbo Went Out

Hey all I suppose this is my first post but i have been on here for a couple months looking around and trying to learn stuff about my new purchase. Well i bought "joegangstas" joes 97 gsx. Well my turbo went out on me downtown 2 fridays ago. I do not know hardly anything about these cars yet and I was wondering where or who i could talk to about getting my car fixed. Im looking for a t25 for now until i can save up some money. I was just wondering what all the pieces are needed in replacing my stock turbo. Much help is appreciated and hopefully getting to know some of you people.

Didn't that thing have a 16g on it? Maybe I am mistaken...

i was burning oil a lil ya know like when i stomped on it and what not then when we were downtown going onto the highway i just had smoke billowing out constantly out of my exhaust. I dont remember the guys name but he was sure and so was a bunch of my other friends.

ps it was bound to happen sooner or later with running 20 psi on a t25 for a long time.

Sounds like what happened to me. Did you check the turbo for shaft play? All you need is another turbo. You should be able to get it for less than 100 if you are getting a t25. Any more and you might as well just get a j pipe and a 14b.

ok i got what was thought to have been a t25 but isnt so if anyone has a t25 or 14b or knows of one for a good price let me know as soon as possible
