First year of this body style is 2001. I've seen 01's w/ high miles go for around $15-16. Thing thats sucks about the 2001 is their all auto's. Idk what they go for anymore though that was about a year ago now when i was looking @ getting mine

Nice man. I love the interiors of those cars. I

You love the interiors? They remind me of a cheap ass Toyota, not a Lexus. The should have released the car under the Toyota name plate instead, it doesn't feel like an expensive luxury car and the interior is not up to par with what the SC300 had.

Hmm, I dissagree with you Shane. When I sat in the car at the autoshow (it was an '05 model), I was really impressed with it considering it starts under $30k. The quality seemed better than the G35's (which I also really like, one of the better cars I've ever driven). The leather seemed to be decent quality, I like the gauge cluster, and everything seemed well put together. Do the older ones differ?

Well, I guess it isn't an expensive car though, which is probably why I don't think it should be in the Lexus line though either. The SC300 was a quite expensive car for what it was.

To me, it's kinda like when you go from a DSM or 3000GT or S2000 to a Mustang and you notice how cheap the Mustang interior is. It feels like that for me going from the SC300 to an IS300. It might be pretty and fancy, but still feels cheap.

I have never been in a G35, just the 350Zs, which aren't anything special inside, just the usual 2000+ modern styling.

What you said makes sense, I agree with you about both the Mustang and 350Z. I look at the IS as an upgrade from my current DD though ('99 Ford Contour), not as a downgrade from my current "nice" car (S2000). I guess what I get all depends on what sort of job I'm able to find next year. I should go test drive some stuff while I'm still in the Cities.

I love the IS 300 interior, suede, nav, nice and quiet, side air bags, sunroof, how can u go wrong.

My dad had one prior to me getting my own and i loved the car so i hunted for probably 6 months to find my own in the color and 5 spd.

very nice. Is that the stock motor, or did you do a 1jz/2jz swap?
