I always chuckle when I go back and look at the first one:

We had 23 cars come to the first on back in 1999. Who knew it would grow into what we have today. I'm such a nerd with my commentary. LOL.

Yeah, no kidding. Back then I was using onelist.com for a mailing list. There really wasn't any kind of messageboards. Heck the MN-DSM mailing list didn't even get started until after this first event.

The internet boom was happening right about this time too.

You can almost see my Starion behind Rau's car :D That is the year my 1st DSM died :(

I got there really late and didn't sign up. My g/f and I just looked around. I didn't know much of anyone back then because I didn't live in the cities. I knew Steve Hill and maybe Kris Ali back then.
