Hell, my name is rich and i am a member of 4g61t. you know. It all started 4 years ago when i first bought my first 89 colt dl hatch. I bought it as a primary car to replace my 99 tahoe on 22's(pretty damn big back then). I was on disability because i was 620 pounds until feb 03 when i had gastric bypass surgery. I didnt realize when i bought the car that it really wasnt that big inside as my wife told me about this lil car with alotta room. She was friggin wrong!!!!! Shes 5'5'' and 120, so a milk crate is big to her,...LOL thank god she thinks some parts on me are big too!!! boy is she fooled...LOL
But anyway, as of feb of 04' i had lost 300 pounds!! i could finally see me jewels, thank god, and i could finally drive the car. What a neat lil car it was! With the 5 speed, it could lay J marks like nobodys business. After having to drive the car for 6 months due too credit history and finally able to get a bigger car, i found myself looking for another one that actually had A/C.
Well, in january i found a 91 eagle summit with the 4 speed and ice cold r-12 A/C. i guess im lucky i found one that doesnt leak. Paid 400 for the lil red POS. its pretty damn straight though with only 100K miles. Well, at the same time i found this site for the club mentioned above and found out about all these lil cars running around with big power. It opened my eyes! My tubbed 76 chevy with a stroked 400 smallblock(427) makes 520 HP on pump gas and weighs in at 4200 pounds (stripped of all excess weight except me!!)
The best time ive got on hard mickey thompsons was a 12.60 at 109 spinnin to the 300'. But with these cars there is alot of fun to be had with lil'er power, and the sleeper effect is there. So i am here to make contacts and talk to different people and find a car. my garage is currently full and my homeowners association frowns upon me working on cars in my driveway. I can, but get nasty letters. So i guess i'll look for one that is already done and keep my 91 as a daily driver and my 89 for parts. So thats about it for now. If you have read this far, REST YOUR EYES!!!!!!!!

Thanks again,
rich

Welcome Rich. If you want one that is already done, buy a DSM! Go to the cookout and check out all the Mitsu's. There should be a turbo colt or 2 there, there usually is.
