Broken Borders. Do a search for that phrase and you'll see a lot of coverage over the last few months. There was some more coverage on tv tonight. It's simple really, illegal immigration is illegal for a reason. So why isn't more actually done to police it? There are some 7 MILLION illegal residents in the US with 60+ % from Mexico alone. So what's the big debate about, we all know this and stopping it seems to be impossible from a government law setting standpoint. I mean come on, in reality how many does the US catch and send back each year compared to those who enter. If there are 7+ Million I think the US fight on this isn't working.
But now they are turning it into what could be a huge part of the next election. One side wants to cut funding to states not policing laws againts illegal's while another wants to put plans in place to make processes eaiser for them to obtain legal work visa's and be used in today's growing need for cheap labor.
Now this has nothing to do with illegal residents from Mexico, China, Cuba, or anywhere else. I've come to accept it's another law and it will never be policed in a way that it will make an impact. That's my thoughts at least. But for some goverment parties to want to come right out and say they want to make illegal residents have the ability to work legally and become legal resident to cut labor costs for businesses is just plain wrong. Not only are so many American jobs being lost to other countries due to the cheap labor rates (Such as India), but now we want to bring all that cheap labor right into our back yard and show how much the government want's to fuck over the average working american right to thier face.
I just don't get all this political bull shit these days. This is my rant, and I'm entitled to it.
This is your current political ranting thread. Open up the worms, get out of the heat. Leave the attacks outside. Keep it civil.
