When swapping these turbos, do all of the oil lines and Jpipe work?
What all is needed for the swap?
I have someone that will let me buy their evo 16g but he wont do it unless a 14b will bolt right back on without modification.

oh yea, I have a 92 talon TSI and the seller has a 97 GST ( already has the 16g on it).

I find it hard to believe that no one here has dealt with this ;)

The 14b and evo 16g is a direct replacement I believe. I know others have replaced theirs.
Alpine TSI did that swap I believe.

I'm also in the same boat and I was wondering, can an EVO III Exhaust Manifold bolt right on a 1g head?

Of course you can swap them. Only difference I can think of is the 14b has a stud coming out of the exhaust side, and the 16g won't, so you will probably need to get an extra bolt for that. But everything should line up fine other than that.
And yes you can swap on evo exhaust mani onto a 1g head. Same bolt patterns. But there is a chance you may have to grind a lil metal off the edge of the mani/head flange to get it to fit, but that takes a whole minute to do.

If the swap on the 2G was done with a kit and they have a J-pipe that is not permanently affixed to the 16G, you should be fine. If they flipped the compressor housing, or had a bend welded to the 16G, it wouldn't directly fit(though less common these options are cheaper and why they are around and the compressor housing can be flipped back over easily).
Other than that on the 1G it is a direct replacement, however I had to notch the arm that holds wastegate actuator to the compressor to make my intake pipe fit appropriately.
And the stud may or may not come out of the exhaust housing of the turbo(either one), although usually the nut that holds the O2 housing onto the stud doesn't come loose and it takes the stud with it, just hope that happens to both otherwise you will have to try to break either one loose to transfer it over.
And yes an EVOIII manifold will bolt to a 1G head, it is the EVOIII O2 housing you have to worry about as it puts the outlet to downpipe in a different angle and spot.

Is a TD06 20G a direct swap in also?

Nope. There is a little bit more involved with installing a 20g. Not all that difficult, but definately not as simple as swapping in a 16g.
