Went to the Import day at Rockfalls yesterday and I finally hit 11s. I ran an 11.53@122.53 with a 1.73 60ft. Tried again for a second time and I missed 4th gear and ran an 11.8 @ 115. I got my best 1/8 mph it was 96.34, but oh well ... As the day went on, it got hotter and hotter and the track got crappier and I ran another 4 more 11.8s and decided to call it a day and go home.

The 11.5 run was done at 29psi (FP3052) on Sunoco 110 octane gas. Now I really want a built tranny and a better clutch. My tranny has 130K+ on it and the 2600 has over 18,000 miles of city driving and plenty of abuse.

Overall I was really happy and decided to share the news :)

I remember when cher and I saw you last there, struggling a little bit..wasn't it with timing, and those damn couplers? Anyway, it's nice to see you running good times!

Congrats, that's great news. You went 122mph before right?

Were you the fastest car out there?

Thanx guys, last year I went 12.1 at 121.04 at RockFalls. So technically I am a bit faster and a little quicker this year. I did have serious problems blowing the crappy couplers apart a few weeks ago, but I finally solved the issue and bought good 4-ply ones. As to the timing I think I finally got it somewhat right (thank you Shane for the long explanation over the phone). I think I am gonna try one more time later this year when it gets colder and see if I can gain a couple more mph and then for next year I am considering a new tranny & the FP3575 with some double springs so I can rev the crap out of it.

I was the fastest car on the track, but the quickest was one of those little Mexican Toyotas (the really loud ones), except this one was quiet and had a turbo. He was running 11.2s at about 115 or so.

Here are some pics of last years timeslip and the destroyed coupler :)

Gratz man! Depending on the weight of the car that should put you at 450 whp or a tad over! Hopefully I will be out there soon. I am really getting the bug to go.
