I have a problem.
My car sucks, I know all dsmers say this but honestly i cant figure out this problem. First off I own a 92 laser AWD 6/4 bolt. with basic bolts on, 3" turboback ported 2g o2 housing and manifold. rebuilt motor. rewired fuel pump. stock injectors. stock sidemount.
My problem is that my car tends to get in upwards of 1500-1600 degrees whall at WOT at 14 PSI. My logger o2 volts show me its at .91 which is still pretty rich? I have no knock, and my timing advance is at 19-21 degrees. my question is, what is causing these way to hot temps? any other infomation you guys need just ask. I have no tuning tool though...

If you don't have a way to richen it up then you are pretty much screwed. I wouldn't trust the 02 volt reading that you are getting anyway, they are not very accurate.

Why is he running so rich? Does re-wiring the fuel pump with a remaining stock fuel system make that big of a difference to cause a rich condition without any sort of fuel management?
By reading this I swear he is running lean not rich. But anyways I have this same problem. And my AC fan is melting. It sucks!

I'd swap out your o2 sensor & see if you get a different reading with a different one.
On second thought, buy a wideband setup & see what you're really doing. Your stock o2 sensor is not very accurate & may be giving you false reading.
You're still running the stock turbo, I assume? Where in your rpm band at WOT are you getting these high readings?

.91 is not rich. And EGTs are also innaccurate and vary from EGT sensor location to EGT sensor/gauge model. 1650+ is also the dangerous zone for EGTs, 1550 would be a pretty good EGT temp. EGTs aren't very good for tuning though, they respond more to retarded timing than being lean. They can be used for individual cylinder trim tuning, if you have 4 of them, then they actually become useful.

Wow, my reading skills obviously weren't with me earlier. N/M the above shit.

Yeah, I hated my EGT gauge, so I took it out. All I ran was the wideband, fuel pressure gauge, and boost gauge. Oh, and knock control on the AEM. Otherwise, I found all other gauges/sensors worthless.
