When idling at normal operating temps, the oil pressure guage reads, barely above the line on the very left side. But when zooming around town and stuff, it's usually normal, if not a little bit less. But how would we go about fixing or, telling what the problem is?

Also, once in a while, the car smokes big time, white smoke. Like today, we had the car idling for like an hour. And we went to 7/11 and it was smoking like crazy. We changed the oil, and clumps or something came out. So we put the new oil in. and it still smokes a bit. But once we got on the highway and back to vancouver, it wasnt smoking. We Would really like to know whats going on.

not sure wether or not they were hard or soft.. we never reached in to see.

It all came out as black, like the oil was.

White smoke is coolant. Either a leak, or a headgasket. Blue smoke is oil, seals or rings. Black is fuel. Have you checked your intercooler or pipes to see if oil is settling in there? Is the smoke coming from the engine bay or exhaust?? And as for the oil pressure gauge, do you have an autometer gauge or is this reading off your factory oil gauge?

its a non-turbo talon. So no intercooler their :P

And its the factory oil guage.

typical dsm, if you want accurate readings on oil, just get an aftermarket one, otherwise, as long as it goes up when driving, your fine.
