Well I just finally have my car running after roughly 2 months. But we all know how that goes, it's not running right. After hitting boost, (which feels like Im not getting the power I should so probably a boost leak) the car sometimes dies. Now what would cause this? I know when I ran my car vented, after boost it would die. But the car is definitly recirculating right now, so any ideas?

Also have a boost stutter, where it feels almost like the car bucks. And bad idle!

And the CEL is on.

Help maybe?

EDIT: Also is eating gas like a mother, and pretty sure the car is running really rich.

Vacuum and boost leaks will cause cars to eat gas pretty bad.

Any of your buddies have a datalogger that could tap in and see that CEL code? That's where i'd start. Can help eliminate 20 things to look into down to maybe 5 things. It would also help us too by saving on typing time.

Well my friend has an OBDII and were gonna hook it up Sunday and see whats up, Other then that I really don't have any DSM friends around that know whats going on.

Well just get us the exact code that it gives and post back.

It's possible the TPS is bad. I've seen a few cars with similar problems that ended up being the TPS.

It is probably just the boost leaks. If you know there is a problem, why try to diagnose more problems? Fix what is broken, then look for more stuff it it is still having issues.

Alright guys thanks for the pointers, I'm going to hunt out the leaks and I'll report back.

Start with the simple shit. Are you plugs gapped correctly? Is a vacuum hose off? And yeah definetly boost leaks? Then start to look at TPS, ISC, and timing. We have a datalogger here is you need to stop by and pull the code. Let JET, Nash, or myself know.

The fuel issue could also be injector 0 rings.

I would check boost leaks like everybody else said, a certain amount of metered air is going in, then leaking out without the computer knowing it. Check that cel see what it is. Its not missing or anything right? I had an injector stuck open and caused some pretty bad problems, only after long drives though. (it also idled pretty bad too)
