i did the 10 day free trial a couple weeks ago, it was fun, but i could already see my self getting addicted after 2 days. so i stopped and spent more time with my son.

I play off and on still, stopped raiding about 8 months ago, I hated having to . Gearing up for the expansion ever so slowly (farming lower level materials and sell them in the new expansion) and leveling another character or two. I'm in the beta for the expansion, it looks very awesome.

I only play very little here and there now. Basically I dont play anymore. It was too much of a distraction from school and I need to get back on track. I'll occasionally jump onto my brother's characters to see the new changes and gears :)

Ive never tried it and im glad. I got friends that have back to back computers at their house that they play WOW and they only come out like once a week i shit you not. When i do get him to come over all he talks about is WOW and how huge him and his guild are bla bla bla.

How much does this cost each month? I downloaded the trial a few days ago and I could actually see myself getting hooked on this.. I've never really been into these games ever but after even just getting my little warrior dude up to level 8 I could see myself getting a big evil grin getting him to even the 20 range. Quite a bit of walking though is one thing, Nature of the beast though I guess. Once we get into the house and I get the new computer I'd like to plant my butt in the chair and jam away at this. Providing it isn't to much cash of course.
Also the expansions, I notice there are two different ones. Should pick them up as well? This the time of game that if you don't have these your not "in like flin" according to the rest?

about $15. If you plan on going 60+ or 70+ you need both expansions. I wouldn't buy Wrath of the Lich King yet just in case you figure out you don't like it. Burning Crusade offers two new races, you can level from 60 to 70, unlocks oultand, flying mounts, gives pallidans to Horde, gives shamans to Alliance, and some other stuff. It's a fun game sometimes just too time consuming. Something you might or might not know is PvP -Player vs Player which means if your in enemy/ contested territory you can get killed by the opposing faction. PvE -Player vs Environment you don't have to worry about that unless in Opposing city, Arena, Battle grounds. I suggest you play with friends makes it more fun. Currently I do not play. Need something answered I can try to help. Good luck.

Whats a good alternative to this? I don't really care to spend 15 bucks a month for something I can't say that I could devote a set amount of time every month to playing. I mean c'mon still have COD4 and world at war to play. Plus with GT5 hopefully around the corner. None the less I'd still wouldn't mind a decent computer game to jam at and actually show progress for my time in.

this is a private server, so leveling is easier , game play is little different but its free wow. http://aninetwork.com/ you need to register an account so you can play on their server. You will need to d/l WoW, BC, and WOTH they should have a link where to d/l them for free. Then it will tell you have to change to their server, very simple you just open one file in notepad. It's not as good as real WoW but saves you money and pretty entertaining.
