I was out looking at cleaning up the wiring on my car while the engine is out. I noticed that one of the injectors didn't have to grommet on it where it meets with the head. I was like "great, I lost one". Then I see it sitting on the frame. I grab it and it is all cracked and hard! It was literally broken in 1/2. I put these injectors in a year ago.

If you have FIC's, check your grommets! I am going back to stock ones.

I never trusted those flimsy FIC insulators that they come with, I always swapped some new stock ones in there.

Good to know, my head and everything are off now so I can check tomorrow. You are just talking about the insulator between the rail and injector right? Not the one between the head and injector? And where are you finding stock replacements? I may just replace them instead of checking.

No, reread my post. It is the one between the head and injector. Get stockers from Mitsu.

Didn't FIC come out with Viton replacements for those?

I installed new FIC 650's on my 1g. at about 10 months of regular daily driving, it started to run like ass when it was cold. I replaced those grommets & all was well. the one on cyl#1 was slightly cracked.
