A friend of mine has a 2003 GSX 600 Alstare Edition with about 1000 miles on it that his parents are letting go of for $1000

It's got problems though, the engine doesnt run right now (but would with a jump)

When it does run it runs like shit because it was beaten(by my friends dipshit adopted brother who is now in prison), and it needs new rims because both have pretty decent sized bends in them.

Also it needs one new side panel, it was dumped on the side and it cracked it pretty badly.

Anyone here repair motorcycles cheaply / affordably :)

Is it worth it?

If you don't want it I'll take it...

That is a steal! The bike is worth $4k easily after you get it fixed. Wheels can be found for ~$500 a pair. An engine can be found for ~$750, if it is roached.

It would have to be a bit under blue book for me to buy it. I wouldn't throw all the labor into the bike to save $5. I am interested if you do not want it...
