Some people care about Rod Ratio. But with a 100mm stroke it's hard to make a big diffrence with out making the price astronomical.

Since it is FWD, 2.0 will easily make 400hp with the supporting mods. A 2.3 would a little bit..... A stock 7 bolt will make 400 but for how long is the case.

If your original 2.4L is still in good running order and you don't want to make huges amounts of power, just a little more reliably than you have already, check out this site about converting your 2.4L to a DOHC turbo set-up (http://www.4g64.150m.com/).

*** Nevermind, I thought I read you had a Spyder GS, instead of the GST. ***

My comment was misunderstood I think, the reason i mentioned not caring about running a longer rod is that you really couldn't with a 2.3. The only real reason a 2.4 would be a better option is for the higher deck height allowing the use of a longer rod or if you wanted to increase the stroke even further. The bore diameters have the same limits on both blocks. That is why the 2.3 is a good option for a high torque street motor. And of course the fact that you can't tell from the outside is a plus.

Opps, I read that backwards.
