I've heard a lot of different opinions, and I want to hear more! What would be a better turbo on a stock bottom end 6-bolt for making supreme pump gas power? I've heard the 50-trim is more difficult to tune, and the 20g makes more real world power than most 50-trims (This all isn't fact, just some things I've heard).

Depends on what you want to do. If your buying used stuff and either one is a good deal then it doesnt really matter. Personally if I were going to buy a brand new turbo out of those 2, get the 50 trim. Used is the only thing I would question- if I found a decent 20g I would take it for the right price, if I found a decent 50 trim I would also take that. It just depends on what is out there locally or if you want to buy brand new.
If buying used I would go with a 20g (TD06 if possible) if I were buying new I would get the 50 trim. Both are great turbo's, but the 50 trim is a bit bigger and a tad more efficient. I think the 20g wins in reliability though.

I agree with JET, especially when buying used. I personally bought a used HRS Super20g that made it's way through 4-5 other people on this board, making me the 5th or 6th owner. It pulled like hell, did not smoke or burn oil, and had almost zero shaft play.

Gotta love water cooling in addition to oiling. Mitsu turbos all the way. When I go bigger I am going with an FP Green, the perfect combo of the fiddy trim and 20G.

Thanks, thats a lot of info for me to consider. Generally speaking, what would be an average price for a used 20g/50-trim in Good condition (not Excellent)?

I bought my used 20G for $400, got it ported, then sold it for $450 after using it on my car. It was then sold again for $450 I believe (EclipseTurbo has it now). I'd take the 20G over a 50-trim w/o question.

Funny how the turbos kinda get tossed around this site, I know the turbo has been on like 4 different cars on this site. I think.
My old 50 trim got tossed around to at least 4 people on the site too. Ported PTE 50 trim with internal gate that was going for about $500. A turbo is one thing I will not buy used unless I know the person and history of the turbo.
used-20g -Proven to make reliable power and the turbos last longer than the cars.
new-PTE50 -Cheaper and can make more power. I had a tougher time tuning my car
than my brothers on the 20g though... My car would knock a lot. I think CVD
had problems a while back also. I couldn't get 17psi on pump.
