driving downtown tonight my car started revving to around 2k rpms when in neutral. i pulled off the freeway and it rose to about 4k rpms while in neutral and at a standstill. it would slowly lower back to 1100, but if i tapped the gas at all it would rise to 4k very quickly then slowly lower again. after i pulled over i turned my car off to see what was wrong and then it wouldnt start again. we pushed it to a space and it started again but would sputter and do the 4k rpm thing again. anyone know whats going on? my car is on 4th st in mpls and id like it back as soon as i can. thanks for the help

Check to see if your BISS screw fell out. If not there is probably a big leak somewhere.

Yep, only from Mitsu or specialty shops. You could plug the hole just to get it home though. The leaks would be air leaks that I am talking about.

If you can't find the problem, give me a call at 651-308-1672 and I will check it out. You are only like 7 miles from my house.

Where exactly is the car? I could use a new DVD player and some screens ;)

so i got back from duluth thismorning at about 6am and stopped at my car. i didnt see any screws missing from anywhere around the throttle body. i tried to drive it and it drove normal for a few seconds then did it all again. i was able to make it to my house, but still need to find out whats wrong...

ok you really need to do this http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html
you will need two people one to pump it up and one to listen for leaks and watch the boost level.
and here is the biss screw
