I have a '91 talon with a '91 ECU. I am currently installing a 1990 motor into this car and due to the changes in the ECU between 90 and 91 I need to know if there are any sensors from the 1990 motor that will not operate properly with the 1991 ECU?
Thanks

I know that when installing a 90 ecu in a 91-94 car, there are two wires that must be switched. Check out vfaq for the right wires.

I know there are some different sensors on the throttle body but I am not sure about others. I am pretty sure the coil uses a diferent connector also. Are you putting a 90 motor and accessories in or just the block and head?

I am pretty sure they will all operate the same but you will need to splice wires or solder on the right connectors. There are a few sensors that are different on a 90. Some are probly easier to just swap off your old motor and onto your new.

Yeah, use the 91 TB and coils, then you should be fine. Just put the head and block in from the 90, leave everything else from the 91 and you should be fine.

Don't forget to use a 91 Cam Angle Sensor also, the connectors are diffrent.

Thanks for your replies. I think I'll replace the coil packs, TPS, and CAS with ones off my parts car just to be on the safe side. I am assuming that there is no diffrence between the turbo and NT sensors in regards to the ones I listed?
