its some kind of sensor that was connected to the P port on my 91 throttle body...

i dont know...i have a 6 bolt swap with some pretty different wiring...it was pretty much sitting on top of my fuel rail im not sure where the wiring goes to.

I take it you have a 2g... On a 2g there is a MAP sensor mounted on top of the intake manifold. When you put a 6 bolt motor in a 2g you no longer need the MAP sensor cause there is no spot for it unless you weld one onto the 1g intake manifold or reuse the 2g intake manifold. Not using it shouldnt cause a CEL nor should it effect any performance or driveablility issues.

Okay, now it makes more sense, I thought it was on a 91 car, not a 2G. It is actually just the differential pressure sensor for detecting the EGR function. On a stock 2G it is on the intake manifold. it is only still there so you don't get a CEL. If you had DSMlink, you could get rid of it and eliminate the light. Ask Eric about it when he gets down there today, he can explain in more detail if you like.

yeah i do drive a 2g. the map sensor was really ghetto connectted still but i removed it while putting in a MBC
