OK so last night when i got off the freeway my car was smoking so i went to my friends house and noticed that the coolant was gone! so today i went to put more in and noticed that it was pooring out right above the tranny. So i looked closer and the freeze plug rgiht above the tranny was GONE! WTF! where can i get a new freeze plug? why did it fall out? On the way there i did get on the gas a little but not too much. i just did the 6bolt swap and i rebuilt the engine using the topline rebiuld kit from slowboy. its been aabout 160 miles since rebiuld. WHAT DO I DO? can I drive it home to work on it? im SOOOO pissed right now! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Please help!

Get the freeze plug at Brookdale Mitsubishi. I'd be more concerned as to how long you were drving without coolant though. How hot did she get? Head could be warped if it was too long.

I assume? that its the frost plugs that are on the side of the block, It should be the same size ans many of the other ones on the block....

part number mf665541 $0.78 EA I have 16 in stock , but mitsu only sells them in 2's

Good reason to only use mitsu parts for that stuff. The ones from topline I have seen are not factory mitsu. I wouldn't use the gaskets from anyone else either with very few exceptions for certain ones.

light RTV and pound them in with an appropriate driver. I use a seal driver that is the correct diameter.

You temp gauge would not have gone up because there was no coolant to heat up. All bets are on that you did in fact overheat your motor.

You will notice shortly if you did. This happened to my red car. I warped the head, put a new one on. Then 700 miles later she started smoking. It looks like a bad ring.

Ok, so I fixed that problem and then today I was on my way to work and it was going alright. Then it started shaking. So I shifted thinking it was that but it kept shakiing, like bad. It would go away but then when I was at a constant speed it would shake. If I acc. while shaking it got worse but if I down/up shifted then acc. it was fine and drove normally til a constant speed or light acc at about 4000. Every time I take this car out something happens.
