That's right. It's that time again. The 2005 Land O Lakes Region, Rally America Headwaters Regional Rally will be held on May 14th. It will be headquartered out of the C'mon Inn Hotel in Park Rapids, MN.

We are still in need of volunteers to come up and work the event. You get to have the best seat in the house for some of the best racing action anywhere in MN. If you need more info, click on http://www.scca-lol.org/rally/headwaters/

You can sign up to work, find out info on hotels, see updated entry list and also find out general schedules of the weekends events. It will only be run on saturday. You don't necessarily need to sign up online but it helps us know how many workers will be there. We need control workers, course setup/teardown workers, road marshals and many others. No experience necessary. All training will be provided.

If you have any questions, post up here or pm me and I can help answer what I can and will find the answers to those I don't know. I will be leaving on thursday morning (the 12th of May) to go up there because I need to check roads for Shooting Star Rally that happens on July 9th. Most of the workers don't need to be up there until the morning of the event. Most come up the night before.

Headwaters is a sweet rally. I think I am going to have to get my but back up to MN and enter. Anyone have a truck/ trailor they would let me use for the weekend? And maybe some tools to bring? I have a car and spares ready and waiting, but that is all.

You could always rent a uhaul and trailer for the weekend.

Do you have your Rally America license yet? They will NOT be doing licenses at the event. Not even for the rookies. They have to be taken care of before the event. And the rookies still have to go thru the class though.

I have my RA licence. I ran my first RA rally two weeks ago on the CA AZ border in the Yuma proving grounds. 1st place PGT as a co- driver. It was pretty cool running there. An EVO II right hand drive caught on fire and burned all the way down. Army fire trucks came out and security took away everyones cameras. We where allowed to use the roads and 10 ft on each side. No photos as it is a seceret testing grounds. I am co- driving for the same driver at Rim the weekend before Headwaters so it is going to be a rally smorgasborg month for this guy.
