No shit, how come all JDM motors have ~40,000k miles on them? Is it just a coincidence? :D

What is a JDM 4g63 anyway? Does it just have the cyclone intake?

Yea, they just come from Galant VR4s over there. They are usually beat to fuck from being in rally car or road race cars, or just from the owner knowing that they are only going to have the car for 30,000 miles before they junk it. They always claim 30-40k miles, even though one of Dave's 30K JDM 2JZs was marked as having a 60,000 or whatever timing belt change done on it. So you get some beat motor thats been sitting in a junkyard for 10 years. One of our customer got one of the more rare motors with a 16G and 500cc injectors from the Galant VR4 RS that we swapped into his 1G, and it had rod knock on startup.

Reading the title to this thread I KNEW ecoli woulld share his opinion! LOL.
Hes bitched about them to me before LOL.
Andy Y got one when he had his old 1G. less than a week later all the work to swap it out was outdone by the motor going boom.

Don't those motors usually have low miles, because of the large taxes/fees Japan imposes on higher milage vehicles/their components?
