Garrett T3/T4 57 trim. Im at work and am having a hard time finding some specs and comments on this turbo. I can pick it up ( nearly mint) with an Ex. waste gate and the flange off the mani for 600 obo. If i was content with 400 hp, will this turbo do it? I would like to not push the turbo to its limits. Any help would be useful. If you dont want to help guide me, please dont leave a comment.
The 57 trim isn't a terrible turbo. It is roughly the same size as a 50 trim. It isn't quite as efficient as either the 50 trim or 60 trim though. Overall, not a bad turbo but there are better ones out there.

Is there a link to it, or maybe post up his add and we will look at it. If its in decent shape thats not a bad asking price, but it sounds to me like there will ge a 'catch' here somwhere.
But yeah that turbo will make 400hp no problem with the right supporting mods.

The 57-trim Garrett is a generic off the shelf setup straight from Garrett and not the latest tech, so they go for pretty cheap. It will work fine though. You can get them for $450 brand new online.

With the external WG I told him to offer the guy 500 which wouldn't be to bad of a deal I guess. The 2G exhaust manifold is fucked so that isn't figured into this. He still needs mods to support this turbo as well.

i told the guy id give him 300 if he cant get rid of it. Thats the end of that. Its not as big as Id like and it would prolly go on the DD anyways. You obviously need a fast street car. What fun is a track car when it only runs at the track ;)

Not as big as you'd like?
::sigh::
400whp is nothing to sneeze at if its a properly setup car....
....sometimes I miss the old days of 420whp on pump being alot of power.
